Sad Stuttering
Why is it so poor? Same file on my XBOX One plays smooth? I know its not 100% polished but seriously a 720x404 .mp4 25 frames file!

RE: Stuttering
Are you sure the file is really 25fps inside the mp4 as there are loads of bad conversions to mp4 out there..

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.

RE: Stuttering
The resolution seems strange for a PAL release. Like Davy says start with mediainfo to see what any problematic files have in common.

What software are you using for playback?

RE: Stuttering
SPMC
MKV's seems to work fine - 2-5 stutters during a whole movie.

The thing is = My Popcornhour 110 plays it - the Xbox plays it..... Ergo I expect a $200 player to play it.
(I'll look at the codec tonight)

RE: Stuttering
the ergo is not valid in this case.

Rules in playback change, faults that get ignored in old systems might trip new systems.

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.

RE: Stuttering
Test another software player like MXPlayer to make sure its there in all players first.

If you are referring to constant looping/stuttering of audio during playback when using downmix then its there in SPMC on all files when played back. Stops the player being my daily goto player. It gets worse the longer you use the player so I think its some memory leak issue perhaps or just poor rklibstagefright for the rk3288 presently.

Here's how to post a mediainfo output:-
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...ook_for%3F

XBOX probably uses software for playback whereas the old A100/110 uses hardware. OHC uses SPMC so software not hardware decoding.

Try a quick remux into an MKV using MKVToolnix's MKVMerge/mmg it takes a second or two and is lossless. MKv's have aheader with all of the information that a player requires to setup playback correctly, I like using them for this reason.

check the file with MediaInfo and post the debug data here. http://sourceforge.net/projects/mediainfo/
