Watch "Rockchip 64bit RK3368 Octa-core ARM Cortex-A53" on YouTube

Himedia box looks good.

Y'know, I think, I think that a week from now, you'll be less in the mood for being amusing.

Same chip manufacturer that you have done nothing but complain about. HiMedia will not be able to do anything different than Openhour or any other box producer. They all rely on the chip manufacturer to release new SDK for improvements.

From Himedia RK3288 players i have read, that they use a "swindle" XBMC/KODI, a KODI with a wrapper to a native player. Thats an absolute no-no (you don't get KODI Language prefs, you don't get Overlays. you don't get the slipping funktions etc.)

Love that RK sales guy.... I 'can' support this and that... everything.

Fricking question the interviewer forgot to ask is.... That's all fine, but will RockChip SDK Development support it? Because with your past product that is where you failed miserably.

But that is maybe too much face lost on a trade show.

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.

Chameleon 16GB SD 32GB micro SD <-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 + 6 Bowers & Wilkins speakers.
10 NTFS 2TB USB drives on 3 hubs attached to a A400, 2 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB, 2 Seagate Central NAS 4TB.

It's like the next best in 80s hifi.

more lights and another stacked device onto of the old ones. Nothing new eh Chris.

I posted this as evidence that the chip technology is beyond the software drivers.

Daft eh. I'm using mele pcg03 as main device and ohc as bedroom player.

Ironic. But I'm not sad about it. Or moaning.

Wrapping up OHC nicely back to the box with air mouse & USB wifi. Going to sell it as used unit online. Received NUC 5i5RYH with m.2 120GB SSD & 8GB ram, OS is loaded before I sit on couch and Kodi 14.2 started in split second. I'm really a happy man now. Cheers.

RE: Rk3368
Mele PCG03 cost me £124.99. May not have all the features the OHC possibly might have in the near future, but it was certainly a cheaper option than the OHC. Comes with bluetooth and wifi built in. Works perfect.

Trail bay Z3575F quad core. Does what it says on the tin. Futeko.com

RE: Rk3368
So excited to advertise you posted twice Big Grin

Doesn't look to do full 3D or HD audio so for those complaining about that its a non-starter.

However the thread is about the RK new chip and the OP would not want it going OT I'm sure.

the unit have only HDMI 1.4 so no replacement for the OHC. Without 4k all other things do a RPI2 for a few bucks fine

RE: Rk3368
The Mele PCG03 is a very stable platform which has 3D SBS playback, and can output HD audio over HDMI.

Refresh rates work too.

For £120 its better than any Android box out there at this present time.

OT... Doh Big Grin

RE: Rk3368
So no full 3D or 4K then?

No remote you have to buy one?

RAM onboard so you can brick it?

It can only do downmix according to the specs when given DTS-HD MA it only passes through DTS.

It does look to have some nice things as well as you'd expect. I also like the extra Gb of RAM and the ability to use 512GB SD cards.

Glad you liked the tongue in cheek OT comment Big Grin
