RE: SD card
I thought we had everything on that sd card, systemwise?
Did you put it in right? Can you try another?

RE: SD card
Thank you guys for the help. Apparently this field is for the micro SD card and not for the system SD card. I have missunderstood that. Now its working fine. Thx again

RE: SD card
Right so you were trying to access the read microSd card when there wasn't one in there.

I have a 64Gb microSD card in the rear microSD slot, works well although at first you had to root the player to get access.

RE: SD card
Hi chris57

I've also a issue with the rear microSD slot.

For what exactly is this slot to use?
Because I bought a 8GB microSD and burnt the latests firmeware on this card. But when I try to install the fw from/to this microSD about the rear slot I can only see the recovery menu with lots of error messages, like "no cache partition found" or "no external SD-Card found".

Then when I use a SD-Card adapter for microSDs and use the slot on the right side, the installation on the microSD works well. But after the installation, when I tried to place the "installed" card on the microSD slot on the rear the same picture with error messages.

I tought I can use the rear slot for the system and the side slot for another, greater size SD-Card, which I could use flexible with different stuff, when I've not connected the OH-box with my NAS system.

But currently it seems I've burnt money as I bought the separate microSD. :-(

Is it possible to use the rear port for the system?

RE: SD card
No it's not possible.
Only the side port will work for the System SD.

RE: SD card
Simply take the rear microSD card out rather than the side, little less convenient but works. The rear microSD is really just extra storage.

Mmh,
thanks for this confirmation.

My opinion is that it will make more sense (and it's more usable) when I can use the rear port for the System and the side port every time I want for additional storage (with changing SD-Cards) because when will I change the system-card of the box in due to that I can use the over-the-air update within the OH system settings. But the case that I will quickly copy/look on files (like pictures from the camera) via the SD-Card slot is more given.

Hopefully this will be in the focus of the developers with on of the further firmware development.

RE: SD card
It may, the USB kernel needs updating aswell for quicker SD cards.

We need someone to start a FEATURES thread for the OHC. Things we want that we feel should be there once the main bugs are fixed and we have moved onto the new framework, which im guessing is lollipop.
