I don't know, but as far, as i see the next Kodi will support MVC full frame 3D out of the box.
All we need is a coder like Koying wich will build a Kodi 15.x alpha release with rklibstage for the OHC.

RE: SPMC external player for 3D-BD ISO
Koying has stated that until 14.2 and 15 become stable releases he wont port them to SPMC. As soon as they are stable then he will.

14.2 is in RC stage but 15 is as you say only alpha so has beta and RC to go through yet.

OK, i'm not realy shure to buy a Raspberry Pi2 to get *now* full frame 3D in Kodi. Looks like the raspberry is better and faster supported.

RE: SPMC external player for 3D-BD ISO
Go tell Koying if you disagree with his new policy, personally dont want buggy versions. Freaktab thread.

Kodi 15 & 14.2 will port when stable to SPMC. If you have an interest in early versions then get involved at Freaktab and push the developers programme nightlies if it means that much and you have smething to offer.

MVC/MKV is not something ive ever bothered with as its not part of the mkv spec and i dont have any 3D need. Will Kodi transcode it or what? I doubt many hardware players will p'ay it so it will have to i expect?

So *you* have no problem, as *you* have no need for 3D, others have. No one have talked about MKVs, and, as stated many times, MVC is the standard of blu ray ISO.

The internal player plays it, and the Raspberry plays it with Kodi since they get always fresh software and don't have to stay with the good will of one coder.

RE: SPMC external player for 3D-BD ISO
As you said MVC is part of standard Blu-ray ISO nothing to do with the MKV container.
When you dematerialize a blu ray 3D the best way to proceed is to mux the ISO with tsMuxeR
This way you have a less heavy file but with the same quality as the original BR disc compatible with all media player since it's a iso 3D MVC Wink
