See here:-

Android has problems serving NTFS and other filesystems. exFAT and another one are OK. I spent sometime googling this as its annoying. You can use SPMC filemanager, FTP, and SMB to move files.

RE: samba server
Yes. You will get to panels on left and right.

Browse on the left panel through Windows SMB to the location where you want the files to be copied/moved. If you have already saved the path simply select the saved location.

Then on the right browse again through Windows Smb to where the file is, then highlight the file and press the menu button and select copy/move and SPMC will then copy/move to where you want.

RE: samba server
I have found a way to share via SMB NTFS USB HDD's that are connected to the OHC.

Sambadroid Pro lets you add as many SMB paths as you want. Bad news is that its only the Pro version that works.

I'm getting 20MB/s copying from my PC to a USB-SSD that is connected to the OHC.
