it's also ARM/Mali but not as advanced as the openhour in CPU/GPU specs and performance.
Marketing wise I would say cheaper popcornhour box with NMJ for the users that want 4K but no functional changes on their user interface, just more speed.

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.

Chameleon 16GB SD 32GB micro SD <-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 + 6 Bowers & Wilkins speakers.

CNXsoft sure...... they didn't even mentioned that there is no Dolby downmix or passthrough.. great review that was.

Still an ARM A9 SOC, looks like they used the OH box and just put another board in it and called it good. Claims to have HD Audio passthrough (Huh) but I will take that with a grain of salt. I for one don't care for the NMJ juke box, but to each their own.

RE: Popcorn Hour VTEN
It's just a different flavour. If sigma decodes audio and video then it probably will work out of the box.

let's just hope when lollipop comes out for OHC box it will sling shot it into no.1 competitor.

Y'know, I think, I think that a week from now, you'll be less in the mood for being amusing.

RE: Popcorn Hour VTEN
HDMIv1.4 and no 4k60fps seem to be main issues based on specs.

Has VXP but I doubt it'll come with Android aswell as the embedded Linux.

There have always been those that will only consider xbmc which is why we have OHC. We have Android and a full Linux setup available. We have no way of bricking our players and inter changeable OS or even dual boot.

CNXsoft says-CloudMedia must have noticed the shortcomings of the rockchip sdk and rk3288 processor found in their OH Chameleon box with pseudo 4k video playback and only partial audio pass-through capability?

RE: Popcorn Hour VTEN
Like me its just one persons opinion. Unless CM post it don't believe it, plus its something that at this stage in firmware development it's best to retain an open mind. CM have always stated both brands have a place.

The OHC is the only box capable of xbmc I bet and is really a minipc in a lot of respects. The new NMT will be aimed at picture quality using VXP and Sigma's closed libs.

RE: Popcorn Hour VTEN
What? How can you say that!

They've done nothing wrong and have released new versions quicker than any other Android player. You really need to take a new view on life as this half empty approach and whining for no reason must make things very depressing for you.
