is there not a difference between a framerate switcher and framerate/sync?

Yes I did. It seems to only affect "standby function"

Did you do a full power off/on?

For my it was picture perfect, only problem is that SPMC 13.4.0 has problems with rewind and fast forward, and
some video files won't run good, shocking all the time.

Movies that has this won't run good in SPMC 13.4.0:

MX Player have no problems with this codec, only SPMC 13.4.0

Ow and we still have the static sound (sometimes) with Firmware 1.0.8 Beta, when i pause a movie and hit play
again and rewind and fast forward, when i use HDMI Bitstream.

Thanks for all the fixes you already have done with the Beta Firmware Cloud Media and Rockchip.

23.976fps micro stuttering only happen if set the HDMI to 24Hz.

Seems like the video that you have issue in SPMC but not in MXPlayer is VC1 codec. Yo might want to feedback to Koying in this thread

http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?8363-SPMC/page11

Static noise issue is not fixed in this build yet as Rockchip still working on that.

Can you or somebody els put a massage on that website that have a account there, i do not want have a account on every website, thanks.

So will the Static noise issue be fixed in the next Firmware 1.0.8 stable?

Thanks.

I'm experiencing stuttering with VC1 encoded files too! (but in the default video app)

Extract from mediainfo below:

Code:

Video

High bitrate AVC-encoded files play fine however...

Also, I am unable to disable subtitles in the default video app.

No they dont. As confirmed by CM ALL 23.976fps files play with stutter.

Try the test vc1 file and it plays the same as other 23.976fps. Read the earlier post and post in SPMC thread at freaktab where Koying will see if there is a specific vc1 issue or not.

Tested 1.0.8 and SPMC 13.4.0, with passthrough enabled, but it is still wrong for me. It plays ok, but the speaker positions are wrong and missing a few.

The internal player (DLNA) plays all channels correctly.

Maybe stutter was not the right word. This VC1 file is unwatchable, it looks like it's dropping half of the frames... Now why would I post in the SPMC thread, since I'm not using SPMC?

RE: 20141218 (1.0.8) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
Hmmm, small bug?

DTS and Dolby Digital work fine on passtrough. But I have a small issue with the XBMC version provided in this release.

While playing an .mkv and then pausing the movie. Waiting a few seconds and then pressing play will result in a sound like: "FRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTT".

If I stop the movie and press play and resume again I have normal audio again. I use SPIF out with a Denon receiver.

RE: 20141218 (1.0.8) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
Hi,

here is always the same problem (present in previous firmware/spmc)

To resume, some videos have no image in spmc (v13.4 with rklib. activate) but sound and, with the same video, the other players have no sound but image (depending on output parameters).
These files are read correctly with an Xtreamer Pro.
When rklib is turned off all is working (except some 'lag')

Configuration: open Hour chameleon connected to Sony Bravia TV by HDMI cable.

I tested some different configurations (force 1080/60, auto, ...) nothing changes the result.

video information... (2 exemples)

RE: 20141218 (1.0.8) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
Have problems with my device to go to Standby, when i use the Remote Control that came with the device, and
putting him in standby and 8 a 10 hours later i again push the power button on the Remote, i see that he must
boot up again, he totally powers off.

Can that be fixed in Firmware 1.0.8 Stable, because i did not have that problem with Firmware 1.0.7.

And that when i reboot my device that he will not remember my last settings of my Audio, i have to go to settings
and then audio and select HDMI Bitstream again every time when my device is turned off.

Thanks.

Read the posts before and you'll see why I said what I said. See OH post in particular on previous page.

If you don't say what software you are using then its hard to guess and as previous discussion was on vc1 in SPMC it would not be unreasonable to assume you had joined that train of thought.

I think we need the 23.976FPS update from RockChip before anything will be tried with one codec as you are now saying its not SPMC alone its on the DNLA inbuilt app.

What am I missing? I still can't get the listed SPMC to play DTS or DD5.1, all settings are set correctly.

The internal video player is working fine as was the previous update.

That was helpful!, solved.

BTW Chameleon commands are now on Harmony for anyone who has a Harmony Remote Control.
