No luck on passthrough DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD.

Who didn't read all the notes Wink I always like the known bugs list, since it makes it clear that something is still recognised as an issue.

Known Bugs
DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD not included in this build yet as Rockchip still need little bit of time to fix the audio drop and white noise issue.

who didn't read the thread... check post #2/7/9/26 I was responding to those kind of posts.

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.

No luck on passthrough DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD.

Support did say DTS-MA and True-HD was not implemented as of yet so I didn't expect that. Just glad I can watch a movie all the way through with 5.1 and no freezing.

If i setup 2160p than SPMC will all (incl. chameleon GUI) set back to 720p, so i never can watch 4k videos. If i set Chameleon GUI to 1080p i can at least watch 1080p movies, but also no 4k videos.

tested and it is very nice Christmas present! Thank you developers, samba is finally smoooth

Best way how to update: (for meSmile)

1) make backup SPMC via xbmc-backup
2) update via usb
3) uninstall SPMC, install new 13.4 SPMC
4) restore setings via xbmc-backup
5) refresh library Smile

OK, it looks like that the internal player isn't playing 4k proper. The TV is set up to 2160p, the player plays something but there is a lot of details missing if you compare the picture with the output playinf by the TV itself from a USB-Thumb.

Yeah, you are right, I think both video and audio are important. Next thing they should fix is micro stuttering with 23.976 fps playback. Unfortunately, it still has not been recognized as a known issue.

23.976fps playback issue already feedback to Rockchip and it is already in their todo list. Currently the HDMI developer in Rockchip is busy with HD Audio passthrough stuff.

23.976fps playback issue already feedback to Rockchip and it is already in their todo list. Currently the HDMI

Just looked at a movie true SMB (from my NAS) with a Framerate of 23,976 fps in SPMC 13.4.0 and had no Video
Stuttering and audio dropouts problems anymore.

For my it was picture perfect, only problem is that SPMC 13.4.0 has problems with rewind and fast forward, and
some video files won't run good, shocking all the time.

Movies that has this won't run good in SPMC 13.4.0:

ID : 1
Formaat : VC-1
Formaatprofiel : Advanced@L3
Codec-ID : V_MS/VFW/FOURCC / WVC1
Codec-ID/Hint : Microsoft
Duur : 1h 30mn
Bitrate : 15,5 Mbps
Breedte : 1 920 pixels
Hoogte : 1 080 pixels
Beeldverhouding : 16:9
Frameratemodus : Constant
Framerate : 23,976 fps
ColorSpace : YUV
ChromaSubsampling : 4:2:0
BitDepth/String : 8 bits
Scansoort : Progressief
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.313
Stroomgrootte : 9,86 GiB (93%)
Titel : *******
Default : Nee
Forced : Nee

MX Player have no problems with this codec, only SPMC 13.4.0

Ow and we still have the static sound (sometimes) with Firmware 1.0.8 Beta, when i pause a movie and hit play
again and rewind and fast forward, when i use HDMI Bitstream.

Thanks for all the fixes you already have done with the Beta Firmware Cloud Media and Rockchip.

23.976fps micro stuttering only happen if set the HDMI to 24Hz.

Seems like the video that you have issue in SPMC but not in MXPlayer is VC1 codec. Yo might want to feedback to Koying in this thread

http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?8363-SPMC/page11

Static noise issue is not fixed in this build yet as Rockchip still working on that.

My problems with 23.976 are more widespread than the vc1 codec. It's there on the AVI 23.976FPS test file and also noticed it whilst watching The Equializer:

I don't have an AVR (Audio visual receiver) so its a direct connection with no possible AVR correction to the signal.

Do we have a thread devoted solely to 23.976fps? Dont think we do but now that a lot of the stutter issues are resolved we perhaps should to distinguish the issue.

Anyone wants the FPS test files to test for stutter on their setup, hardware, and setting I've upload just them to here:
http://www.datafilehost.com/d/07f623d4
The white line should travel without any stutter across your screen. It's also a good test of autoframeratesync as your TV should change display output to match the input file fps setting.

The white line should travel without any stutter across your screen. It's also a good test of autoframeratesync as your TV should change display output to match the input file fps setting.

23.976fps micro stuttering in 1080p24Hz output is not specific to VC1.

RE: 20141218 (1.0.8) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
Since this update I can´t use either standard remote / air mouse to turn it in standby.

- Add F10 key in Air Mouse to turn the device to Standby. Required Remote Control to wake up as during standby USB devices like Air Mouse is turn off.

Did you do a full power off/on?

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.
