Burn MAC to SD Card
Hi everybody,

I have a problem with burning the MAC adress to SD card exactly as described in the wiki.

The upgradeDLL tool says:

Start to write mac...
Start to switch device... [then the OHC reboots]
Switch device failed! [in red]

When the OHC has rebootet the MAC adress has not been saved, it is again a random adress.

Does anybody know what I do wrong?

Are you connect to USB2 or USB3 port of your PC? Rockchip driver doesn't support USB3

Yes, of course, I did it as recommended in the wiki and failed twice. I might though try another port.

Did you program the MAC address that start with 00.06.dc.xx.xx.xx ?

Yes, I did. I used the adress written on the bottom of the OHC. But, I used hyphens not periods tp separate the numbers (00-06-DC-XX-XX-XX).

Thanks for the tip, but does not work for me. There is no proper reboot, the device just goes dark (no signal to TV).

I tried several ports on to pc/laptops, but unfortunately with no results. Device does not reboot properly after the procedure. After a hard reset (off switch) I get random MAC adresses again.

I tried both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. System language is always German.

Can you try with English? Thanks.

RE: Burn MAC to SD Card
Good news, finally, problem solved! I managed to burn the MAC to SD. The problem was obviously that windows did not install an ADB driver automatically, it installed just some rockchip usb drivers. To install the ADB driver I choose the "simplified method" described by CNXSoft. I actually used the assistent mentioned in the comment from August 11th, 2014 (direct download).

So, thanks everybody for your advice!

RE: Burn MAC to SD Card
No need to fix it if there are no PC's in your LAN.

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.

Chameleon 16GB SD 32GB micro SD <-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 + 6 Bowers & Wilkins speakers.
10 NTFS 2TB USB drives on 3 hubs attached to a A400, 2 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB, 2 Seagate Central NAS 4TB.
