RE: Air Mouse
Not on that Air Mouse. App with rooted android maybe? Shutdown may become reboot which I saw on Lubuntu OS. Power on can be tricky because it is hardware feature if I am not mistaken. Maybe can get smart switch for you to on/off remotely?

RE: Air Mouse
The most you will be able to do is 'Standby' as the power is not software controlled, it is hardware controlled, same as the TLBB and Boxee.
But as the OH takes so little power in standby, and the power up from cold takes so long, it is better to not power it down.

RE: Air Mouse
Actually the OH uses a DC converter at the outlet. So no matter what state the unit is in, the same amount of power is used. So Standby will really not save you anything. Only the boxes with built in power supplies should save power.

As far as I know there are no switching small DC converters.

Actually there are a few small switching DC power supplies out there, I have a couple on hand, here is one that I have, 5vdc @10Amps, more power than you need for the OH but you get the point.

RE: Air Mouse
Is there a way to get a menu entry that will standy the OH after selecting it with the air mouse?

Thanks

Edit: On the same way, is there a way to wake up the OH by pressing any key on the air mouse?
