Hi,

Thanks for the hard work.

I upgraded firmware and installed Kodi and it seems more stable.

I wanted to know something : I'd like to use Video App as default player when running Kodi.

Can you provide us a file for that? (PlayerCoreFactory)

RE: 20141107 (1.0.6) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
Oops... I missed it.
Anyway, thank you.

So, I tried using " RockVideoPlayer playercorefactory" instead of default video player.
Sadly, it does not work.

Kodi seems to raise an exception "ExceptionOccurred launching android rk RockVideoPlayer"

No. lol. SMB path is right. I was just trying to hide movie name Smile
Sorry for that but it took me a long time posting log due to the URL annoying limit.

Did you also removed the colon? because without the colon the smb path should be wrong. Correct one, suppose to be like this with colon:

smb://PROLIANT/Films/...

Yep. I removed colon.
The SMB path is right.
Into the log, you can see that OpenFile succeeded.

Can you try with local file in USB thumbdrive or hardisk plugged on Chameleon? A small video will do, just want to make sure your xml setup is working.

Ok. I tried with a small AVI located on a USB thumb drive.
Screen goes black for 1 second then back to Kodi.

Why this version of XBMX-Kodi stretch the videos, how to conserve the original aspect ratio?

5 - Improved on Advanced Settings, Display settings.
6 - Other UI changes and fixes.

1 - Not check, I still have those issues.

2 - Not check, It still crashes like hell.

Regarding the others, I still haven't checked, but I will.

RE: 20141107 (1.0.6) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
this new xbmc just starts up and gives me a black screen :-(

OK, It's starting up now, but is ignoring my advancedsettings.xml file in my userdata folder. Also if I add a video folder tell it to use TV show scraper, and then it says would you like to scan and i say yes, nothing happens.

OK, I found the xbmc.log, and had a look, it tried to upgrade the database and something went wrong... I dropped the MyVideos* and MyMusic* databases from the mysql server and tried again, and it creates them from scratch, but XBMC starts up and then closes (if i look at the log, it is in the process of creating tables, and doesn't complete the process). If i start XBMC again, the log complains about missing tables in the MyVideosXX database.

Can you play that thumbdrive's AVI with the built-in Video App directly? What is the video mediainfo? Anyway, if you don't have problem with beta-kodi-rk3288-20141107-armeabi-v7a.apk, external player may not be good idea if it caused too much trouble.

Yes, there were some feedback about this also, we will investigate on this. Thanks.

Yes, sometime it took around 20 seconds of black screen for first launch of XBMC. Should be some initialization process.

What is in your advancedsettings.xml? Video Cache settings? We've found Video Cache settings does not apply on BDISO. Not sure what is the requirements for Video Cache settings.

This can be messy. Probably you should start from scratch by re-installing the XBMC. Thanks.

Yes. I can play thumbdrive's AVI with built-in Video App.
I tried using external player beacause I do have a big problem with "beta-kodi-rk3288-20141107-armeabi-v7a apk" : vertical stretching as reported yesterday.

This morning, I tried installing "MX Player Pro" and tried Kodi using "MXPlayerPro playercorefactory xml". It works like a charm with thumbdrive's AVI. Sadly, it does not seem to work with SMB share.
