Game controller compatibility
Hello,

I've been trying to use a PS3 controller (official Sixaxis and third party controller) with the OpenHour. It works fine on the home screen, in normal Android apps, in the browser, etc... but as soon as I run a game, the controller stops working and I am unable to play the game using the PS3 game controller. The same is true with the OH infrared remote: all the games I've tried do not response to button presses on the remote control.

So how am I supposed to play games on this box?

RE: Game controller compatibility
Some games required mouse input, some required touch input on the 1st few UI, some even the entire game need touch input. I think that's why they created "android gamepad game" listing which you can try google them. You can also try http://wiki.openhourlab.com/index.php/RK_Remote_Control

Anyway, can you let us know the games that you have tested?

RE: Game controller compatibility
This Game Controller is supposed to work with Android Phones and Tablets, I have ordered one and will let you know how well it works after I test it.

RE: Game controller compatibility
I've tried the following games (none of them work with PS3 Gamepad):
- Colin McRae Rally
- Subway Surf
- Real Drift
- ExZeus Arcade
- Temple Run 2

Strangely enough, Radiant HD works flawlessly with the gamepad.

Can we use this thread to create a list of good games (AAA) that actually work with just a gamepad?

RE: Game controller compatibility
We have tested a few games with PS3 Sixaxis gamepad quite a while back, for example:

Asphalt 8 - Airbone
Real Football 2013
Redline Rush
Offroad Legends
Dead Trigger

As I still recall, depending on the games, some UI might still need mouse input device like AirMouse to point and click.

The XBOX 360 wired controller works. So far I was only able to test Riptide GP2, no problems.

RE: Game controller compatibility
I picked up a Gamesir G3s pad this week - and it works well with the OHC. It is a little finicky to pair via bluetooth but once paired it was great. It has the added benefit of being able to toggle on "Mouse Mode" which turns the left analog stick into a mouse control. Very nice addition to have in general for the OHC.
