Quiet on the western front
Hi Will and Chris. Hope your both well. Big things coming up in the future of mini-pc and android boxes. We all need to move onto the next planet. As Battle Star Galactica moved to Earth. Hopefully will produce a low powered AMD Zen APU Soc next year and move on. Capable of 1080p gaming and 4k 60hz playback without the solder coming loose and the power supplies failing. QC. Quite Confident if they want to keep their jobs.

Y'know, I think, I think that a week from now, you'll be less in the mood for being amusing.

RE: Quiet on the western front
CM is doing great in the VTEN and 500 series on Linux... PQ with Sigma still outperforms anything I seen on PC or Android.
Sigma can do android but doesn't take Google seriously with their support for HD Video and Audio at this moment... until that changes no Kodi on Sigma.

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.

Chameleon 16GB SD 32GB micro SD <-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 + 6 Bowers & Wilkins speakers.
10 NTFS 2TB USB drives on 3 hubs attached to a A400, 2 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB, 2 Seagate Central NAS 4TB.

RE: Quiet on the western front
Vten is single core and the A500 dualcore. The extra core has a small effect in more intensive tasks like panning 4K etc. so if you are using 4K then i think the A500. If you are awaiting the first Sigma chip with HDR then you may decide to go with the cheaper Vten until that series comes out and are not a 4K user yet.
The A500 has internal storage whereas the Vten is far smaller and has only USB storage like the Dune SOLO if you use local storage.

OHC > HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using standard Kodi(MC) 15.2 no hware/acc OK
Downmix stereo 1.0.40/RK Kodi(RKlib) 15.2 infrequent audio gaps hware/acc OK

No DTS downmix available for inbuilt eMC player

Gecko> HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using Gecko Kodi 15.0 OK
Downmix using inbuilt MediaCentre OK

Then you should have a look at MPC-HC with MadVR. That kicks some ass and beats anything from Sigma to Qdeo.
