RE: Netflix Support
It is Netflix that assumes android is mobile and so low bandwidth and low res.

When android 5 comes out with android TV support in a few months Netflix will have to change their policy.
This issue has been going round for months now as Tablet users and users with HD and fast WiFi mobiles have been complaining also.. Netflix chose to ignore them.

I don't believe for a second that Netflix would listen to openhour if hey ask for support...

@Willem55 Ok, so selling a product saying this is compliant and showing the icon of NetFlix on the box and finally discovering we only have SD, this is a shame.

Whoa.. slow down and point your arrow at the right target...
It will do Netflix in HD probably even in HEVC 4K if only Netflix will release the app for android and stream at the right bandwidth.
This is a Netflix issue don't blame the box.

but go and try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...ultra_flix

and ask why Netflix doesn't do that..

RE: Netflix Support
I put Dolphin Browser with Flash on my box and set the user interface to 'Desktop' and accessed Netflix that way to get HD content, works just fine. It is the Netflix app for Android that is limiting your bandwidth, not the box. This also works just fine if you have an Amazon Prime account to get their content.

@F6B_Rider

I have installed Dolphin browser and set UI to Desktop, however NetFlix still ask me to download silverlight for watching movies. Any idea how to solve this problem ?

Well, shut my mouth. Looks like it was Amazon prime I was watching along with the Netflix app last night and got them mixed up. Went back to check it and yes it does ask for Silverlight.... DAMN!!

RE: Netflix Support
ye netflix needs silverlight for DRM for pc playback. You can find some hacked versions of netflix apk on xda that allow for higher quality but they are hit and miss on which systems they work on. Netlflix caps all android apps except the amazon fire ones and chromecast to SD

The nexus 7 is supposed to have netflix HD so maybe make build.prop look like a nexus 7 and see if you can get netflix hd.

I believe we never printed any Netflix icon on the packaging box.

And it works exactly the way Netflix wants it to work.

RE: Netflix Support
I was also very disappointed with NetFlix video quality but I found an interesting post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthre...?t=2122972

I followed all steps and it seems like quality is good enough.
Sadly, I forgot to make screenshots before/after.

I let you try.

As a prerequisite, your box must be rooted.
Don't forget to make a backup for "build.prop" and do not forget to restore it after.

RE: Netflix Support
I called Netflix Today is in fact requires that the Open Hour must be referenced in the database for access to Netflix to stream HD 1080p video.
The Android app works well in 1080p but the server NETFLIX Stop stream HD if the device is not recognized
I am in France so my ticket is sent to the United States but we will be better if more customers call help center Netflix for expedite the procedure.
