Netflix Support
I'm happy to see its one of the first mediaplayers with HVEC support
With it be able to support Netflix in 4K? That would be cool!

RE: Netflix Support
As for now I think the only way to stream UHD via Netflix are build-in Apps in TVs.

RE: Netflix Support
I am following this with great interest! since some other devices like minix neo 8x (which is surely powerfull enough to do 1080P netflix HD) cannot do 1080P because of not having license from netflix!

If the openhour can do netflix 1080P a replacement for my A-210 has been found Big Grin

RE: Netflix Support
Why? Your A210 can play retail BD's whereas this will play via BDlite style.

Plus 1080p Netflix is a poor encode in comparison to a 1080p bluray rip IIRC.

RE: Netflix Support
I mainly use mkv hd files, ripped ISO blurays I do not use that often.
I just wanna have a more flexible mediaplayer which can do Netflix HD, HBO, MKV, DTS/DOLBY ofcourse and a bit of 3D. Sure my A-210 does HD Video great, I just wanna have more options at my fingertips like XMBC with it nice stream add ons and so on.
I think with a android box I can do a lot more then only watch video's downloaded from usenet !
The openhour looks like a very nice upgrade

RE: Netflix Support
Exactly right its a good box to play on and can do more than play files.

OHC > HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using standard Kodi(MC) 15.2 no hware/acc OK
Downmix stereo 1.0.40/RK Kodi(RKlib) 15.2 infrequent audio gaps hware/acc OK

No DTS downmix available for inbuilt eMC player

Gecko> HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using Gecko Kodi 15.0 OK
Downmix using inbuilt MediaCentre OK

Hello, I'm new here in this forum. Therefore, many greetings from Germany.
In Germany the Netflix series "House of Cards" and "Breaking Bad" are available in 4K, encoded in HEVC. Is it possible to receive this series whit the OpenHour Cameleon?

RE: Netflix Support
NetFlix Application only deliver SD content no HD. We need to wait for an update from NetFlix to support OH Chameleon. It's sad while it's on of the sale argument for Chameleon box.

RE: Netflix Support
I watched a Netflix movie today, SD but very watchable and clear with good sound and in sync. For the stuff I use Netflix for,
an occasional B movie or a series episode I missed it is mostly used by the grand kids for cartoons or Disney movies.

RE: Netflix Support
Same for me. I have HD 1080p on every device at home (PS4 and PS3) but not on my Chameleon, it streams in SD Sad Sad

Does an update will fix this problem soon ? It's very disturbing for a product who can play 4K files without any problem to be limited when using Netflix videos streaming.

RE: Netflix Support
Hi,

From preliminary check, this is not a OH issue. Netflix is limiting it to SD rather than HD on this device.

We will do more test to confirm.
