Transfer is slow so must be busy, 343MB will take some time.. be patient or comeback later.

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.

RE: 20151023 (1.0.33) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
Yep time to get testing guys. I'm using a download manager for CM hosting as it maxes out my connection at 800kb/s.

I would suggest using a second SD card as custom Kodi has to be used and the advantage of having firmware and OS/Kodi on a SD card is you can simply swop out.

OHC > HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using standard Kodi(MC) 15.2 no hware/acc OK
Downmix stereo 1.0.40/RK Kodi(RKlib) 15.2 infrequent audio gaps hware/acc OK

No DTS downmix available for inbuilt eMC player

Gecko> HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using Gecko Kodi 15.0 OK
Downmix using inbuilt MediaCentre OK

Hi,

Sorry for the dumb question, but do you have any link on how to copy OH firmware on another sd card, please?

Thanks,
J

RE: 20151023 (1.0.33) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
There no firmware that you need to copy its all on the SD card.

So if you have a new card simply use the burn to SD card option and a PC and use this method:
http://files.syabas.com/openhour/android...3_beta.zip
http://wiki.openhourlab.com/index.php/Bu...d_and_back

Turn OFF the OHC and remove your current SD card. Insert new one and turn ON and away you go.

Don't be too eager to start playback as this means a reinstall if you login with Google of your APPS which can take quite a time and caused audio gaps for me in everything. Let those install and update first. This one is going to take some testing and reporting IMO.

The customised Kodi is a 15.2 RC2 version.

OHC > HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using standard Kodi(MC) 15.2 no hware/acc OK
Downmix stereo 1.0.40/RK Kodi(RKlib) 15.2 infrequent audio gaps hware/acc OK

No DTS downmix available for inbuilt eMC player

Gecko> HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using Gecko Kodi 15.0 OK
Downmix using inbuilt MediaCentre OK

RE: 20151023 (1.0.33) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
customized Kodi is 15.2 RC1 version in me and a popup message tells me to update it to final 15.2 version.
now about 23.976. finally you can watch a movie with no stuttering. but... I got at random times
the movie plays in slow motion. I cant find a way to reproduce it but it happens in random times.
also 2-3 times I saw lipsync problem in playback. after a reboot all worked again. the audio of the movies I tried
was AC3, DTS, DTS HD MA, True HD.
the problems above was in AC3 and DTS. also at random times I lost the audio. but if I choose another movie
to play the audio is back. I think its something related to framerate setting in Kodi. I played with all options
(always, on start and stop and off). now I have it at start and stop.
now about samba share:
I setup some locations from my pc for movies, tv shows, music, etc. but in last share that i wanted to put I got
error 2: unable to find smb share... something like that.
after I root it successfully this error gone.
about DTS HD MA and True HD. it seems to play fine. I got in my Denon AVR-3100W the audio perfectly plays.
I have the feeling that its not so stable yet but hey its a good start. I need more time to test both DTS HD MA and True HD.
please OpenhourAdmin can you release to us Optimized Kodi 15.2 final version and not RC?
that's it for now!!! thank you!!!
Spiros!!!

Downmix stereo using standard Kodi(MC) 15.2 no hware/acc OK
Downmix stereo 1.0.40/RK Kodi(RKlib) 15.2 infrequent audio gaps hware/acc OK

No DTS downmix available for inbuilt eMC player

Gecko> HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using Gecko Kodi 15.0 OK
Downmix using inbuilt MediaCentre OK

Confirm on SMB issues in Kodi but works fine in local filemanager.
Confirm on Audio loss for any audio AVR reports HDMI no audio signal but TrueHD works fine.
Not stable but a improvement.

RE: 20151023 (1.0.33) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
First one to say that they cannot get the RK Kodi to work. In what way? Did you try the RK Kodi on a different firmware as I think it has to be on this one or later.

Did you leave the player to load its apps after logging in with google or something? I had to leave mine for quite sometime.

It's a beta so hoping for a few more details in there.
I'm recollecting that until I used the supplied 8Gb SD card, when using higher speed SD cards I got stuttering audio and gaps. Testing on a 32Gb Toshiba u1 class10 SD card and wondering if the supplied SD card would work but really resistant to messing with my audio free setup on that card.Sad

RE: 20151023 (1.0.33) - Beta Open Hour Chameleon Android Firmware
- if i start a movie with internal player and DTS-HD, no sound
- if i start after that a normal movie with DTS, stop and start the DTS-HD movie again, the movie brings normal DTS sound instead of DTS-HD
- on RK-Kodi: if i start a movie i get for 1 sec. sound, after that the sound is muted. the receiver shows the right sound protocol.

So at all: no sound in most cases.

I confirm that, but I managed to get a full movie in TrueHD without any issues.
Toggle the audio passthrough/downmix option during playback got me to retrieve DTS or AC3 multichannel passthrough sometimes.

My guess is that the Kodi UI overlay interferes even with UI audio set to off.
Anyone tested with just the two RKcodecs activated?
