Kodi forum... that's where you came from in the first place...Tongue
And yes I wiped your trolling post of the bugfix request list.
Post bugs/issues factually, not as opinions and if that is to hard stay the hell out of my thread.

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.

RE: New Product Launch - Open Hour Gecko
there are a few video's out on youtube now... go see if their navigation behaviour is the same as yours.

what will you do if all your negativity reports on the Kodi forum are not confirmed by other users?

I will get my Gecko by the end of the week.

RE: New Product Launch - Open Hour Gecko
Just in case anyone else has issues with responsiveness of the remote control make sure you do two things:

1. Take off the plastic on the front IR sensor Idea
2. Try navigating in the standard UI to test and not in Kodi. I've had issues in Kodi with the OHC on some skins and as the Gecko has less RAM than the OHC I would expect some skins to have issues.

There's two video's to review for those interested, make sure you watch both. Looks fine to me with someone trying to break playback and still failing.

OHC > HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using standard Kodi(MC) 15.2 no hware/acc OK
Downmix stereo 1.0.40/RK Kodi(RKlib) 15.2 infrequent audio gaps hware/acc OK

No DTS downmix available for inbuilt eMC player

Gecko> HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using Gecko Kodi 15.0 OK
Downmix using inbuilt MediaCentre OK

A bugfix request thread is for serious reports on functionalities that are failing.
A clear and detailed explanation of your hardware setup and system settings is useful.
A clear and detailed description of the fault and the way it can be replicated/confirmed by other users and Firmware developers should be part of the bug report.

Your posts in the bugfix request thread were total negative crap and even on the kodi forum we see you detracting the bulk of these issues. Rest of the issues were also reported by Lundman and are in the list.

Willem he's gone he has said 'goodbye' and told us in his picture above that he 'waz 'ere' so happy days. He painted himself into a corner as he now has no reason to post on this forum from now on. We don't allow trolling or flaming so if it continues we'll moderate as necessary.

RE: New Product Launch - Open Hour Gecko
No the UI is very slow to respond, as I pointed out already, *while* you play video. But only in Kodi. SPMC does not, so probably related to the hardware playback and thread priorities. If you push a key 3-4 times it will generally get through. If the first thing you do is pause, you can navigate the UI with ease.

RE: New Product Launch - Open Hour Gecko
I've noticed in Kodi that it often takes 2 clicks on the remote to get the reaction. Noticed it quite a bit while entering text in search or address boxes.

already put your report in the bugfix request list yesterday. http://forum.openhourlab.com/showthread.php?tid=1078 feel free to add new issues

3. The Kodi UI while playing video is laggy. Does not happen in SPMC.

my assumption is that the use of the Kodi UI on top of the internal playback engine requires some interesting resource allocation/thread focus and therefore careful navigation. Allocation threads/resource for the type of navigation Couto27 does is a bit over the top........... So it a trade off.
But I added it in the buglist as some tweaking might still help.
