Openhour - please update your customers!
Hi,
I've had the OHC since the beginning - pre order.
But it's never really lived up to it's potential or promise, at first firmwares was pushed out often, but openhour has remained silent the last couple of months.

Please fix the issues, and make this box work before jumping ship and making another product.

I have owned A-110, and A-300 both excellent players for their time, and then this OHC. I am not pleased at all.

I hope you take better care of your customers in the future.
As of now, I wouldn't dare buy a new product from Openhour/Popcornhour.

RE: Openhour - please update your customers!
Thats exactly how I feel!

I couldn't have worded it better.

I personally would be happy with "beta" firmwares where likely somethings aren't working but we can at least try them and get a sense of progress.

It honestly feels like I bought a lemon. It has all the specs I wanted which is why I preordered it. Its too bad the software doesn't hold up.

It's something that can be improved, but will they?

RE: Openhour - please update your customers!
I think the update would be:
No significant changes to report on... All changes from Rockchip are in development and testing but do not provide any real solution to the major issues regarding HD audio passthrough and 23,976 stuttering on Kodi/SPMC. A new Firmware release is planned if a resolve has proven in test.

And this is what we all could have come up with....

no news no change... no change no news....

Some focus on problems and faults others on solutions and success... no question who is the happy one.

Chameleon 16GB SD 32GB micro SD <-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 + 6 Bowers & Wilkins speakers.
10 NTFS 2TB USB drives on 3 hubs attached to a A400, 2 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB, 2 Seagate Central NAS 4TB.

Dear Max,

Thank you for contacting Cloud Media Sales Team.

Currently we are waiting for the new patch from Rockchip in order to do all of the improvement on the Open Hour Chameleon.

Our team were pushing for this patch for quite a period, but we are still waiting for the new patch releasing in order to execute further.

Thank you so much for the kind understanding and patient.

Thanks.

Good well we now know that CM know how unhappy we are, not saying they didn't already, and that they continue to press Rockchip for patches to their code.
