RE: Bluetooth connecting
It does not look like there is any built in Bluetooth. Only via a dongle... ugh. I don't have my box yet so I cannot confirm.

RE: Bluetooth connecting
My Ipazz has a USB dongle for it. so I've connected that to thew USB port on the side of the player and hoped that things would be fine.

Mind you I'm still getting used to the new remote control supplied with the player. You would not believe how long it took me to enter static ip details. Tip change to Mouse after entering numbers and then move mouse to OK. Otherwise its pretty impossible to do.Smile

That's why I bought the Air Mouse with mine Wink I am used to it on the PS/XBox, so it is nothing new.

only work with a specific bluetooth\WIFI dongle... as in one that has generic android and linux support.....
Or can we only use the dongle bought from the Cloudmedia webshop?

RE: Bluetooth connecting
Since the OH was introduced I did a bit of research into Rockchip based Android boxes. It appears that only a certain WiFi/BT Chipset will correctly work with the Rockchip. Additionally it appears that the pairing is specific to that chip. So for an earlier Rockchip you would need a different USB WiFi/BT dongle.

I can only assume that this is due to Rockchip working with MediaTek to assure the compatibility of the drivers embedded into the chip.

I could be wrong, but that is what I have seen so far.

Edit:

OHS Do you have a estimate of when this dongle will be available for sale??

RE: Bluetooth connecting
I would suggest holding off buying any Bluetooth or other non OP accessories whilst we get to the bottom of this.

Will my Bluetooth keyboard or Loigtech devices work with the OH dongle?

Why I've not bought any accessories yet Wink

In theory, like WiFi, it should support any bluetooth device. Since it is BT4.0 it should support all BT4 and earlier devices.

Not all BT devices are made to the standard, So some incompatibilities with various devices will happen. I expect there to be a compatibility matrix around eventually for the OH.

RE: Bluetooth connecting
Well, that covers Bluetooth... how about my USB keyboard/trackpad? I would think that will work OK, and much easier to use than a remote for entering data and selecting buttons.

*EDIT* The KeySonic USB keyboard w/trackpad works perfect

RE: Bluetooth connecting
When will the accessories be available, this remote is really hard to use if you have multiple things you want to change.

Any ETA on this? I have a great BT mini keyboard/trackpad but the included dongle is not supported.
