Best video app for Chameleon
Hello,

I have tested both MXplayer and VLC but they are very difficult to use with the IR remote without using the mouse function. Is there another video app that is more pleasant to use with an IR remote ?

The basic video player as not enough configurations possibilities for my use.

Thanks you for your answers Smile

RE: Best video app for Chameleon
Yep use SPMC or Kodi.

If you are using downmix then go with Kodi. If you want passthrough go with SPMC.

http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/android/...bi-v7a.apk
https://github.com/koying/SPMC/releases/...15.0.0.apk

OHC > HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using standard Kodi(MC) 15.2 no hware/acc OK
Downmix stereo 1.0.40/RK Kodi(RKlib) 15.2 infrequent audio gaps hware/acc OK

No DTS downmix available for inbuilt eMC player

Gecko> HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using Gecko Kodi 15.0 OK
Downmix using inbuilt MediaCentre OK

RE: Best video app for Chameleon
Thanks you but I don't need something so complex. Just a video player is enough for my needs but the basic video player isn't enough. For example, it's unable to modify the subtitles policy or size and that's something I need...

RE: Best video app for Chameleon
You can use Kodi as just a video player. You simply add the locations where your files are but dont bother with libraries, streaming, iptv, etc.

MXPlayer is the most popular video player on Android. It can modify where and how they display according to this:
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/mx-player-d...ndroid-21/
You can zoom in/out the subtitle themselves to change their size.

There's a youtube video showing it here:

There's a few other suggestions here but they dont go into the detail that you need:

OHC > HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using standard Kodi(MC) 15.2 no hware/acc OK
Downmix stereo 1.0.40/RK Kodi(RKlib) 15.2 infrequent audio gaps hware/acc OK

No DTS downmix available for inbuilt eMC player

Gecko> HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using Gecko Kodi 15.0 OK
Downmix using inbuilt MediaCentre OK
