Sad SPMC Settings Please
Just over the issues - At least 5-6 audio stutterers per play..... I'm at the end of my tether with this unit which I love but just does not work for me. Its been months and I have yet to see any improvements.

What are the optimum SPMC settings please. (all my BR's DVD's are ripped Audio Pass-through)

RE: SPMC Settings Please
I can only speak from my own experience.

I stopped using the ohc as my daily player due to the gaps of the frequency you speak of, i then saw a post saying that going back tomthe supplied sd card had improved the issue. i didn't give it much credence, i was using lexar and sandisc high speed cards, but gave it a go. The audio gaps are now down to only one or two and i'm using the ohc as my daily player and indeed now whilst typing and watching dark matter Smile

I also notice that if spmc is doing any updating of libaries or addons it causes playback gaps. I think there's a setting in spmc to only do this when not in playback, have a search on kodi wiki.

Further if the player is updating apps or doing other activity that too can cause playback gaps.

Another point to consider is using advancedsettings.xml to increase the cache size, see ohc wiki for instructions.

I have a tv capable of 24p/pal/ntsc but until lollipop ive bitten the bullet and set to 60hz with no autoframerate. I've turned off the same settings in spmc for matching framerates.

RE: SPMC Settings Please
I also had audio drops on every movie i was playing (setup: spdif passthrough / denon avr).
I have tried all the different xbmc forks: spmc, spmc 15(beta), wasser-kodi.
Also, increasing the cache by modifying advancedsettings didnt help (when audio drop outs occurred, the cache was still filled 100%).
Next i tried the network protocols Nfs, Smb, Ftp, Dlna - my issue was not resolved.

So nothing helped and I bought a new media player box which just works out of the box.
I currently cannot recommend this box to anyone who wants to play media with it using kodi.
Maybe i will try again in half a year or so when new firmware is available.

downgrade to .10 and use SPMC 15 Beta 1... its the only way for now... DD ans DTS work well (no audio drop/loss)...

RE: SPMC Settings Please
One thing, if you have an AVR or other way to decode audio test using the Native Player outside of SPMC (I'm going to stop saying Kodi as its not designed for android or has any RK patches in it), itsa simply called Video and is in the Media Apps section of the UI.

If you have the same issue using the Native Player then you can forget messing with SPMC settings.

thanks for the hint. I tested it using this specific fw-version and the spmc isengard beta2 and watched my first movie on this box without audio problems. Rolleyes
So i will stick with the .10 fw for now and i'm looking forward to see the spcmc 15 final version soon.
