Yep you are right its 15.0 on the Gecko and 15.2 on the OHC. Both are 'tailored' versions to enable H265, etc. in Kodi but via the players inbuilt player etc.

OHC > HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using standard Kodi(MC) 15.2 no hware/acc OK
Downmix stereo 1.0.40/RK Kodi(RKlib) 15.2 infrequent audio gaps hware/acc OK

No DTS downmix available for inbuilt eMC player

Gecko> HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using Gecko Kodi 15.0 OK
Downmix using inbuilt MediaCentre OK

Right but isn't that mostly dependent on the playerfactorycore file? I wonder if you copy that and the other xml's, upgrade to say 15.2 on the gecko and then paste those xml's back if it would work.

RE: 20151106 Open Hour Gecko Firmware
Hi!

I noticed an annoying issue: After an online update I am unable to go into "All apps" from the main screen. I keep clicking on it and nothing happens. I can see the apps if I click the "plus" sign to add app shortcuts to the main screen, but nothing else.
However, when I went on and did a manual upgrade, all was well.

Just FYI.

We already removed that small OTA online update. Please use this 20151106 firmware instead.

I've noticed that a few mp4 files wont play from within Kodi using the inbuilt media player via a SMB mountpoint. When I play then without Kodi using the MediaCente app they play fine. It must be something in the Kodi overlay with the native playback, noticed a BT709 in there which is HD not SD but not in the colourspace setting:

Sounds like you got the OTA upgrade that caused a few issues and OH removed it. This was discussed in the thread and the steps to resolve it as well if i remember correctly.

Downmix stereo using standard Kodi(MC) 15.2 no hware/acc OK
Downmix stereo 1.0.40/RK Kodi(RKlib) 15.2 infrequent audio gaps hware/acc OK

No DTS downmix available for inbuilt eMC player

Gecko> HDMI > TV (Panasonic 42G20)
Downmix stereo using Gecko Kodi 15.0 OK
Downmix using inbuilt MediaCentre OK

RE: 20151106 Open Hour Gecko Firmware
Playing an European DVD iso, the video output does not switch to 50 Hz (or 25 Hz in 4K). Frequency change with other movie files seems to be fine.
