Is the Gecko dead? - Jokerchyld - 08-12-2016 03:43 PM

No real activity on this board. No news of updates or even a new firmware. No information if it can/will support Lollipop.

KODI krypton looks interesting, and it seems this device won't even be able to support it.

Anyone know what's going on here?

It's abandoned, but you can still use it as a doorstop.

I throw it away since 1 year ago and happy ever after.

Next time you buy a box go to the Kodi forum for hardware (recommended)

I made my own mini HTPC which sits behind TV for about £230. Asrock fanless N3170 Mini ITX.

If you want to go Android either Wetek, or Nvidia Shield.

Waiting for the AMD ZEN APU to come out next year and I'll be upgrading to that and 4K hopefully.

My kids have my Gecko use it everyday and love it. Depends on your wants and needs I suppose.

If you've got to have the latest thing then you'll always be disappointed in what you have. Also remember Kodi is not everyone's be all and end all.Smile
